New Smyrna Beach and Edgewater, Florida

Saint Paul’s Parish is in New Smyrna Beach and borders Edgewater. The church is approximately fifteen miles south of the Daytona Beach area and forty miles east of Orlando.

New Smyrna Beach is located at the mouth of the Ponce de Leon Inlet. It serves as the gateway to the historic and picturesque Indian River (Intercoastal Waterway) and to thirteen glorious miles of Atlantic coastline, bordered on the south by the 57,000-acre Canaveral National Seashore Park, and on the north by the 1.5-mile boardwalk of Smyrna Dunes Park. Historic Canal Street in downtown New Smyrna Beach provides leisurely shopping with an old-world charm. Flagler Avenue, a true seaside street, offers boutiques, surf shops, and restaurants.

Edgewater is nestled alongside the Indian River. It’s an Intercoastal Waterfront area that offers all the charm one would expect to find in a small Floridian town. One is within a stone’s throw of the best boating and fishing in the state.

Community facilities include an award-winning high school, the south campus of Daytona Beach Community College, the Bert Fish Medical Center, two county libraries, Atlantic Center for the Arts, Arts on Douglas, a 12 theater cinemaplex, the Little Theater, several golf courses and recreational centers. The Daytona International Speedway and the Kennedy Space Center are just a few of the nearby attractions.
